Washington is a combination of climates. The west is very lush and green. There are dense forests. It also has areas considered desert, with only about 13 inches of moisture falling per year. It gets green for a short time in spring after the snow melts. After that, brown and very prone to fires.
Beautiful picture Michael. Two things I miss about the East. How gorgeously green it gets and Fall with all the colors and the smell of the leaves.
Thank you again for the mention.
I would think Washington state would be lush and green like that, but it must just be along the coast.
This just happened to be a very wet spring in that area - rained like crazy the night we arrived, too.
