I’m sure some people feared what happened Thursday would occur, but hoping against hope that a jury who didn’t like him, a judge snarled in conflict, and a legal team that didn’t have one hand tied behind its back like the defense did would still do the right thing - well, it didn’t work out.
So, here we are. Surrounded by the smoking hulks of our legal system and our innocence, we’re watching a true Constitutional crisis in action.
Yet I got to thinking about Nelson Mandela - convicted as a saboteur who was aiming to overthrow the government - and how he was elected to lead South Africa after 27 years in prison because the people backed his cause. There are thousands of people who took time Thursday night into Friday to donate to the Trump presidential campaign, to the tune of $52 million.
If you remember, the Democrats who are trying to ruin Trump’s campaign thought they had him with The Mugshot: surely that would knock him down in the polls. But instead The Donald’s poll numbers went up. The problem Democrats have is that they have a demented corrupticrat as their leader and a Vice President who must have slept her way to the top because she hasn’t demonstrated any leadership ability. If it were 1996 and Trump was facing Bill Clinton, he would have been destroyed (sort of like a much more noble but obsolete Bob Dole was) because Clinton at least looked the part of a competent leader. But Joe Biden? Well, we see why Barack Obama selected him as the insurance policy against his assassination.
So now it’s no more Mr. Nice Guy, or, as radio host and onetime Senate candidate Dan Bongino would say, “cutesie time is over.” Since Alvin Bragg and Democrats have gone all Lavrentiy Beria on us, perhaps it’s time to do some of the same to Democrats who have committed actual crimes. But let’s wait until Trump is elected.
I saw an interesting quote from Neil Parrott, who was one of the best conservatives in Maryland and is running for Congress again this year.
Our Constitution took a back seat to vengeful politics Thursday. For the average citizen, this “law-fare” has forever blurred the lines between the electoral system and the justice system. It is sad to see.

No one is above the law, but so too no one is below it. No person except Joe Biden's primary political opponent would have been charged and prosecuted in this manner, on the flimsiest of grounds. Without the dispassionate Rule of Law, we won't have a country.
In the meantime, we need to do what we can to make sure this doesn’t pay off for the Democrats. You can be sure that they’ve added “convicted felon” to Donald Trump’s name like Wikipedia did, but the question one has to ask someone who spouts that off is inquiring exactly what he was convicted of. Impeaching him twice didn’t stop Trump, so do you think he’s going to quit now? All it’s done is entrench his supporters even more deeply and brought a few more to his side after seeing how the system treated him.
I see the upside-down American flags on social media and how we suddenly have a problem with the Pine Tree Flag (a.k.a. “Appeal to Heaven.”) But take a chill pill. We have a long way to go to the election, and there are a lot of twists and turns yet to come. So keep your powder dry for now.
Until next time, remember you can Buy Me a Coffee since I have a page there.
This has backfired to nuclear proportions. Trump campaign donations EVEN FROM PEOPLE SAYING THEY WILL VOTE FOR KENNEDY! Never Trumpers backing Trump. CNN legal analysts saying the Constitution was violated. Benny Johnson made a video pointing out ALL the Founding Fathers were felons for signing the Declaration!
Bring it on!!
Thanks Michael.
My flag is upside down.
I am heartsick.
But I will continue to fight because it’s what I do.
