A prayer

I'm not ashamed to say I talk to my Lord each night before I go to bed.

I like to talk about religious topics on Sunday, so today I’m going to be simple: with some variations, this is what I pray for each night. Perhaps you may find it inspiring to your prayer life.

Dear Lord:

I pray for a hedge of protection for:

My family;

My church family;

Faith Baptist School, and;

Our small group.

I pray for our leaders:

President Biden;

Vice-President Harris;

Our Congressmen and Senators;

Our governors, and;

Our state and local legislators.

I pray for their wisdom and courage, and that they remember our rights are derived from God, and not government, and that the government’s job is simply to protect our God-given rights.

I pray for a revival in our land that You blessed, and that our people turn the world aside and draw closer to You.

All these things I pray, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
